Oh CBD gummies, you’ve become an addiction of mine! Sure, I review CBD oil more than any other product, but I can’t deny the smile on my face when some gummies come through the post, with my sweet tooth kicking into overdrive. I’m now looking at the Joy Organics range, a brand I’ve been aware of since I started the blog almost 2 years ago, but this is the first product I’m reviewing by them. It was too tempting to start with the CBD gummies, but this will be followed by their premium CBD oil and their CBD softgels.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

Each gummy will provide you with 10mg of CBD, while there are 30 gummies in a pack, meaning you’ll get 300mg of CBD. The FSA recommends not going over 70mg in a day, which would be 7 gummies, however most won’t need to go anywhere near this figure.

At first I couldn’t spot the lab reports on the website, but then I noticed the QR code on the side of the products which takes you to the lab report page.

They list each product and the various batches, while you can find your batch code on the base of the packaging. The third party lab report highlighted that each gummy contained slightly over the stated amount, with 10.3mg of CBD. As with most gummies, they use a predominantly isolated CBD, as the other terpenes in cannabis can affect the flavour of the gummy, so isolate tends to work best. Having said that, there is also a slight amount of CBDV present. It’s also worth highlighting that THC is showing as ‘not detected’.

As you’d expect to see, there were no pesticides present, being produced from organic hemp this is something you’d expect and demand in a CBD product, but it is always worth double checking.

For the testing period, I had 1 gummy in the morning and 2 before bed (to help me sleep). They generally recommend 1-2 gummies per day based on your personal requirement, but I find nowadays I need a bit more, probably through constantly reviewing CBD products meaning my tolerance levels have increased, but if you’re trying this for the first time then you might want just one for the day.

Remember, as tempting as it is to just eat the sweet and swallow it straight away, this isn’t the best method to enhance bioavailability. I’d recommend placing the CBD gummy under your tongue for a minute, before eating it like a normal sweet (candy for my American friends).

How Do They Taste?

They offer two different flavours, strawberry lemonade and green apple, while I’ve been sent the strawberry lemonade flavour. The taste was different to anything I’ve had before, partly as I’ve never had this flavour before in any form of product.

The closest comparison I could give would be the strawberry and watermelon Tango. I first tasted the strawberry, however the fizzy lemonade flavours kick in afterwards.

Are These Vegan Friendly?

Yes, I was surprised to find out they were vegan friendly, utilising pectin instead of gelatine to bind the ingredients together. Pectin is plant based, often made from either apple pulp or the skins of fruits such as oranges.

Do The Gummies Contain Sugar?

Yes they do, the ingredients list organic tapioca syrup and organic cane sugar. Each gummy contains 2 grams of sugar, which is normally inevitable if you want a good tasting gummy bear.

Where Can I Purchase This From?

You can purchase the Joy Organics CBD Gummies from Pairidaeza Health if you’re based in the UK or Europe, for £47.94. They also offer exclusive discounts to Blue Light Card members, plus they often offer discounts on the website so it’s worth keeping an eye out for these.

If you’re based in the USA then you can alternatively get it from their website, while they also offer free shipping in the USA. They also offer a 30 day money back guarantee so you can rest assured you’ll be a happy customer.
