water-soluble-cbd-oil

Following on from the CBD Britanicare hemp tea I reviewed recently, I’m now taking a closer look at their CBD oil. They actually have a range of CBD oil’s, varying in strength from 250mg all the way up to 2,000mg, but I’m testing out the water soluble version.

Why Opt For A Water Soluble Option?

Utilising nano particle technology, water soluble CBD is fast becoming a popular and innovative alternative to your regular CBD oil.

Whereas you take the normal oil sublingually, meaning holding it under your tongue for 1-2 minutes, this version you can simply drop into a glass of water and swig it down. That’s amazing for those that simply don’t want to hold something under their tongue for a few minutes each evening, as you do get tempted to swallow before a couple of minutes is up.

Traditionally, the bioavailability after consumption will be incredibly low, hence why people take it sublingually, but the water soluble molecules are supposedly fully absorbed in the lining of the stomach and none is lost to the liver or gastric system. If you want to learn more about sublingual consumption, make sure to read my article on why people drop CBD oil under their tongue.

Another reason why many people are opting for the water soluble option is due to the taste of CBD oil. Many can’t handle taking it each day and then skip it, whereas you won’t have any issues with the taste if added to a drink you like.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

The water soluble oil comes in one strength, being 500mg of CBD. However, as it will pass the digestion process, it is absorbed at a greater level, meaning you will get more than the equivalent from a 500mg traditional CBD oil tincture.

How Much Should You Take?

On the packaging, they recommend taking 1-2 drops when needed. A drop apparently contains 1.25mg of CBD, but once again, remember that if it is absorbed at a greater rate, then this will be more effective than the equivalent from a normal CBD oil.

During the testing I went quite a bit higher than the recommended dosage, instead opting for around 10-12 drops (hey, I like my big doses and I doubted whether 2.5mg would make a difference for me) and that worked perfectly at getting me to sleep.

What Did You Mix It With?

I tried a combination of options. Most of the time I just drank it in a small amount of water an hour before bed, however I also experimented by adding it to my morning coffee or a drink of orange juice at lunch.

I wanted to also mention that you can simply drop it in your mouth and swallow, you don’t need to add it to something, just work out what works best for you.

Where Can I Order This From?

You can purchase the Britanicare Water Soluble CBD Oil from their website for £23.76. Before you complete your purchase, you may want to have a quick exploration around their other options, including the previously mentioned hemp tea, capsules, cooling cream, chocolates, gum and even some high cannabis cookies.
