When I think of relaxing evening drinks, chamomile is one of the first that pops into my head. This is the third of the Buddha Teas collection I have written about, following my review of the CBD Matcha Green Tea (which is great, but isn’t so good as an evening drink due to the caffeine content) and the CBD Turmeric & Ginger Tea.
How Does It Taste?
I’ve only ever had chamomile tea a few times before taking on this Buddha Tea option, so I wasn’t sure what to expect taste-wise, however I did find it very pleasant. I do love having a warm drink in the evening and this was definitely my favourite flavour from their tea selection.
How Much CBD Do You Get In A Mug?
Staying consistent with the other options they have, you get 5mg per bag. Having said that, I always recommend keeping the bag in for a bit longer than the general recommendation, so you can ensure you get the full amount. For this reason, I normally keep the bag in for about 10-12 minutes.
It should also be mentioned that it contains zero THC, the psychoactive ingredient that makes you feel high. I’ve written in the past about the THC limits in each country, which stands at 0.2% in the UK, however for people who are drug tested, they can’t have any in their system so this can be very important.
What Are The Benefits Of Chamomile Tea?
The supposed health benefits expand into all different areas, therefore I will try to stick to the main benefits and anything proven in great detail by studies. The first benefit I want to highlight is its anti-inflammatory properties helping people with a number of different ailments.
Hence its place as an evening drink, it has been shown to help people relax and therefore fall asleep quicker, however the study is still out on this one.
Chamomile can also help to lower your blood sugar, which can be very important for people suffering from type 2 diabetes. This can’t work as a medicine, simply just as an added ingredient to help them.
Another less known benefit is how it can help to minimise the pain from menstruation when taken on a consistent basis.
What Are The Benefits Of Lemon Balm?
Lemon balm accounts for 30% of the ingredients, so I felt it was important to quickly write about this ingredient. The list of benefits are quite hefty, including helping sooth the digestive tracts (I’ve been writing about the brain gut axis recently, so this is even more important now in my eyes).
This herbal remedy is also great for helping to treat everything from high cholesterol to insomnia and even cold sores. Some studies have highlighted its potential to improve cognitive function, but I will hold myself back on stating that until it is fully proven.
Where Can I Buy CBD Chamomile Blend Tea From?
This can be easily bought from the Buddha Teas website, for £16.99 per box. This works out as 94p per cup, but you can make greater savings per cup by purchasing it either as a pack of 3 boxes or 6 boxes, while once you go over £20 spend you can get free delivery.
So as they say, enjoy this delightful cup of calm and let us know what you think in the comments below.
