I’ve really been enjoying testing out the CBD tea’s by CBD-Safeway, a nice option to enjoy in the evening while watching the TV. I’m testing out three different flavours, so I can talk through the various options available to you.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

Each tea bag contains 45mg of CBD, which is certainly at the top end when it comes to hemp teas. I’ve found most have between 5-50mg, so I was happy with this level, being someone who needs a higher dosage.

For this reason, you obviously don’t need more than one, with the FSA recommended max amount of CBD in a 24 hour period being 70mg.

A pack contains 30 tea bags, meaning you will get 1,350mg. Being 30 bags means this is an even month’s supply.

Along with the presence of CBD & CBDA, these also contained a small amount of CBG and CBC.

What Flavour Do These Come In?

I have three flavours, being citrus, raspberry and natural.

I started off the testing with the raspberry hemp tea. I suspected it could be a little bitter, considering many raspberry flavoured foods and drinks are, however I was happily surprised to find it light, juicy and sweet.

The citrus flavour was certainly my favourite when it comes to taste. It had a smooth lemony taste that felt comforting in the evening while relaxing with some Netflix.

What Else Do These Contain?

The raspberry hemp tea contains vitamin B1, which contribute towards a healthy heart, while the citrus hemp tea contains Vitamin C, which is crucial for your immune system.

The raspberry pack gets its taste from dried raspberry and natural raspberry flavouring, meanwhile the citrus option contains dried lemon peel and limonene flavouring.

As you can imagine, while the raspberry and citrus contain a number of other ingredients, the natural option is 100% cannabis sativa.

Are They Loose Tea Or Tea Bags?

I’m very happy to say they are tea bags, meaning you don’t have to measure out the loose tea and try to get an accurate dosage.

The tea bag ingredients are accurately measured out, so you know exactly what you are getting, whereas when you use loose tea, you have to do your best to get the precise amount required. Loose tea does allow for you to optimise to your personal required amount, but I’d still rather avoid the hassle.

The tea bags were a little tricky to tear along the middle, so I used scissors, just a heads up so you don’t accidentally tear into the bag.

How Do You Make The Tea?

Heat your kettle to the usual 100c and pour into a mug containing your tea bag.

They state you should let it steep for 15 minutes, but I prefer to leave it for 20-30 minutes to ensure the highest amount of CBD possible. Just remember, longer you leave it, stronger the taste.

Where Can I Buy This From?

You can order the CBD Safeway hemp tea from their website for £25.99 if it’s the raspberry or citrus option you’re after, or £19.99 for the classic hemp tea. They also have plenty of other options available on their website, so make sure to have a proper sift through all of the great products.
