ethica cbd oil

Ethica CBD is a UK based CBD brand launched by Ruarri Spurgeon, Roland Prinz, Olivier Reiner and David Reiner, following 30 months of work researching the industry and working out how they could bring a set of amazing products to market.

This isn’t a ‘get rich quick’ scheme, this is a brand that has a strong focus on improving and supporting the mental and physical wellbeing through a natural solution. CBD is also a core interest at heart, with Olivier having been diagnosed with Ankylosing Spondylitis, ‘a long term condition in which the spine and other areas of the body become inflamed’.

Today I’m looking at their broad spectrum CBD oil spray, provided in a 15ml bottle.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

A single tincture provides you with 750mg of CBD. Currently they only have one strength CBD oil spray, however if you’re hoping for a stronger or weaker version, you can take a look at their CBD oils.

A single spray will offer you 7.5mg of CBD. The amount you take at each time and how many times per day all depend on your personal situation, your reason for taking it and you own tolerance level, so start off slow and build-up as you go.

My main aim with CBD oil is to improve my sleep, so during the testing period, I take it 30 minutes before bed. I look to take around 40mg of CBD before bed, so I took 5 sprays, being 37.5mg.

Unlike some brands packaging, they quite rightly point out you should hold it under your tongue for a couple of minutes. Too many brands state 20 seconds, but I personally feel it takes longer to be sufficiently absorbed from personal experience.

The lab report, matching to the batch I have, highlights that the CBD present is slightly over the 5% stated (5.3%). Beyond CBD, there is a presence of a number of other cannabinoids, including CBC, THC, CBDV-A, CBG and CBN.

In fact, I was very happy to see the high quantity of CBG present in this spray. It’s definitely worth researching cannabigerol if you don’t know too much about this cannabinoid.

Why Use A Spray?

I predominantly use a normal CBD oil dropper, just because this is the way most come, however I do quite like sprays, as this allows for a more accurate dosage. With a CBD dropper, you have to count the drops landing under your tongue, which can sometimes be a little bit tricky, whereas a spray is unquestionable.

One negative with some sprays I’ve used is that, once opened and started, if not kept upright then the liquid can leak out of the spray entrance. This might not sound like a big issue, but imagine you take it to work in your bag and lose such an expensive liquid. Or imagine it gets knocked over on your shelf and it’s all lost.

So what did I do? I stuck it upside down for an entire day. Odd test number 5 of the day! I’m happy to say absolutely nothing leaked out.

Open To Returns

This might sound like an odd factor, but I’m starting to notice an increasing number of CBD brands state that they don’t accept refund requests. This sets off little alarm bells in my head. Sure, they might be dealing with some fraudulent claims, but I genuinely think the majority of people are good, moral people (or at least that’s what Freakonomics taught me).

For that reason, I was happy to see Ethica CBD held an ethical viewpoint when it came to refunds. They offer free returns if you’re not happy with the product, providing you inform them within 14 days of receipt.

Packaging

The bottle is held in a protective paper box. This paper has been sourced in accordance with World Land Trust, while the paper is FSC certified. It’s completely recyclable, so they’ve managed to make a great design without compromising on their brand principles.

Where Can I Buy This From?

You can order yourself the Ethica CBD broad spectrum CBD oil spray from their website for £45. They also offer free delivery to anywhere in the UK. This is tracked first class delivery, meaning providing you order before 3pm on a weekday it should be dispatched that day and received within 1-2 working days.

If you’re based outside of the UK, make sure to contact before making the purchase, to ensure they deliver to this destination.
