tropical daze cbd oil

Following on from the Cherry Drop CBD Oil I reviewed recently, this is the 2nd product by Tailored Wellbeing CBD that I’m trying, with identical details except for the flavour provided. I’m used to using an unflavoured CBD oil, many people can’t stand the taste of it but I’ve always quite enjoyed it, but I am very much enjoying experimenting with various flavours.

How Does It Taste?

It describes itself as ‘a combination of sweet mango and tangy citrus’, however interestingly we more tasted coconut when it was under our tongue. This flavour remained until we swallowed, at which point the citrus taste burst forward. The taste is very nice, albeit I think cherry still slightly wins personally.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

Which ever flavour you opt for, you will get 1000mg, with each 1ml serving containing 33mg of cannabidiol CBD distillate. A bottle is 30ml, so you get 30 servings, a clean monthly amount so you can setup a monthly regular payment. Alongside the presence of CBD, the certificate of analysis also highlights the presence of 25mg of CBG, 24.8mg of CBC and 7.9mg of CBDV. With an exceptionally low trace amount of THC and the presence of other cannabinoids, it means this is a broad spectrum product which can also help you to benefit from the entourage effect, the phenomenon that means the cannabinoids, flavonoids and terpenes work better together than on their own.

You will also find various terpenes in this product, including:

  • Terpineol
  • Limonene
  • Humulene
  • Delta-3-Carene
  • Linalool
  • Alpha-Pinene
  • Beta-Caryophyllene

When Do You Take It?

This is partly down to personal preference and partly based on your reasoning to take it. I like to split my dosage, once in the morning when I wake up and once about 30 minutes before bed to help me sleep. Based on this product, you could potentially have half a ml in the morning and half in the evening, but I like to have around 20-30mg of CBD before bed, therefore I’d potentially still opt for a full pipette before bed and 10mg drop in the morning.

Make sure to drop it under your tongue and hold it there for a couple of minutes. You don’t have to time yourself, just try not to give into temptation and swallow earlier, my trick is to watch TV with it in my mouth, so I’m distracted.

How Much Does It Cost?

You can purchase the Tropical Daze CBD oil from their website for £59.99 (unless on a special offer), or alternatively you can opt for the 10ml version, which provides 333mg of CBD.

What Carrier Oil Do They Use?

Tailored Wellbeing CBD use C8 MCT oil (Caprylic Acid Triglyceride Oil), which I’ve regularly highlighted as the best carrier oil for CBD. In case you were curious, the C8 means there are 8 carbon atoms, known to be great at increasing ketones. There is also C6, C10 and C12, but C6 doesn’t taste very nice, while C12 doesn’t metabolise as well, therefore C8 and C10 are always preferable. I keep a pure C8 MCT oil on my desk as an extra supplement I take alongside CBD oil to help further enhance the bioavailability levels after consumption.
