Orange County CBD Orange Flavoured CBD Oil Review

Anyone who has followed my blog for a good while will know I’m a big fan of the Orange County CBD brand, so you can imagine my delight when a whole new batch of products arrive to be reviewed! Over the next couple of months I’ll be trying a number of their flavoured CBD oil’s, while I wanted to start on their soon to be launched orange flavour.

How Does It Taste?

The most similar taste I can compare it to is Terry’s chocolate orange, which instantly made it taste almost chocolatey to me. It was gorgeously sweet, but also not overly sweet so that it would become sickly.

Most CBD brands have opted for peppermint when creating a flavour and I’m not a big fan of mint, so I have often been unexcited about flavoured options, but this all might be changing now with a number of innovative brands such as Orange County CBD.

How Much CBD Do you Get?

We have the 1,000mg CBD bottle, while the bottle is 30ml, meaning a full 1ml dropper would provide you with 33.3mg of CBD.

You can take the amount you need personally, with the general guideline on their site stating ½ a dropper, but this depends on how much you require and your tolerance levels.

This is a broad spectrum CBD oil, meaning either no THC or barely a trace, while there will be other cannabinoids present, helping you to benefit from the entourage effect. This includes the presence of CBDV, CBG, CBL, CBN and CBC.

You should always make sure to have a quick check over the CBD certificate of analysis, not just to check the levels of cannabinoids but also to ensure they don’t have pesticides present, which can be the case if they’re not organically grown (obviously these shouldn’t be sold legally).

As you can imagine, the help goes through CO2 extraction methods, the most commonplace tactic nowadays to ensure the highest quality product and high levels of CBD. These non-GMO crops are grown in the USA (hence the brand name), with farms in Colorado, Kentucky and Northern California.

Which Carrier Oil Do They Use?

I’m happy to say they use MCT oil, which is the best carrier oil for CBD. Medium chain triglycerides are also a great tool for weight loss despite being a fatty source. They can help you to feel full by increasing peptide YY and leptin release in the body.

I have often used MCT oil before a workout as MCT works different to other types of fat and goes straight to the liver where it is broken down to be used as an instant source of fuel.

But of course the real reason they are included is because CBD requires a fatty source to ensure proper absorption and high levels of bioavailability, with MCT the best at achieving this.

Where Can I Buy This From?

You can purchase the 1,000mg orange flavoured CBD oil from their website for £50, or prices will vary if you opt for the 500mg or 1,500mg options. You can also choose between a pipette or a spray, something I quite like they offer, as I don’t know any other brand that give you the choice.

You can also get an exclusive 10% off with the discount code ‘CBDSLOTH’

Being based in Brighton, I have directly witnessed the CBD industry grow and prosper, albeit witnessing the difficulties around legislation and the lack of transparency. I therefore decided to become a neutral viewpoint offering genuine reviews, advice and guidance.
