hempura-cbd-oil

I am now reviewing the second product by Hempura, the Hempura Original 250mg CBD oil, following on from the CBD white chocolate. This has come at a time where I’m balancing looking for a house to buy with the stresses of sorting out consultancy work and finding new clients, so some CBD oil is exactly what I needed!

How Much CBD Do You Get?

I’m reviewing the 250mg CBD oil, which is the lowest form you can get, so it’s most popular with people looking for a starter CBD oil or if they’re on a tighter budget.

Each drop under the tongue will contain 1.25mg of CBD, while the entire 10ml tincture contains 200 drops. Of course, with the amount I plan on testing for the review period, 1.25mg is way below what I require. Instead, you can pull through the entire dropper, which can hold 1ml.

1ml would contain 25mg of CBD, being a tenth of the bottle, therefore I used a full 1ml dropper each time.

One important thing I want to highlight is that Hempura have included markings on the dropper, it sounds like something basic, but so many brands fail to do this and it clearly helps you to measure exactly how much you’re taking per day, going in 0.25ml increases until 1ml.

How Do I Find The Lab Report?

On the back of the pack, there will be a batch code along with the expiry date. You can input the batch code onto the Hempura website (on the labs page, found in the top nav) to find the certificate of analysis for your batch order.

This is important, as some brands just upload an old lab report, which might not match up with the batch you have, therefore offering no evidence that your product has the supposed cannabinoid levels stated, nor that it is pesticide free or free from heavy metals.

The lab report for the product I’m reviewing shows it is very much a CBD isolate, containing no other form of cannabinoids. It does have slightly more than the stated 250mg, which is always a positive! Quite confusingly, the label states ‘full spectrum’, however this doesn’t seem to match up with the lab report.

The packaging highlights that there is also 9,750mg of terpenes, phytocannabinoids and oils, but I can’t state this for a fact as this isn’t covered by the British Cannabis cannabinoid analysis report.

Who Are Hempura?

Hempura are easily one of the most well known CBD brands in the UK, launched in 2017 and now featuring in a number of lists of the best brands and regularly up for awards.

They utilise recycled materials for their packaging, while they’re also registered with the Vegan Society. With one eye on helping lower their carbon footprint and with sustainability at the forefront of their strategy, it’s a brand with a strong ethical mission statement.

They use organically grown hemp from EU farms, followed by safe and gentle ethanol extraction methods to produce their CBD oil and other hemp based products.

Where Can I Buy This From?

You can order the Hempura 250mg CBD oil from their website for £19.99, while they alternatively have a 500mg and 1,000mg version available. You can also enjoy 5% off with the discount code ‘CBDSLOTH5’.

While you can make a one time purchase, they offer a further 5% discount if you subscribe to a regular delivery. They offer delivery via Royal Mail for £1.99 in the UK, or if you spend over £20 then you will benefit from free delivery. EU deliveries can be handled by DHL at a slightly higher price.
