Making the journey overseas to the UK, I’m very excited to be reviewing the product range by American Indican, starting off with their blueberry OG CBD tincture. Keep your eyes peeled over the next few weeks for a selection of reviews including vapes and CBD oil’s.

How Much CBD Do You Get?

The bottle I have is 500mg of CBD, within a 30 ml bottle. It’s a 100% hemp extract broad spectrum CBD, while all of their 3rd party lab test results are available on their website. I always recommend checking these before making a purchase and if you can’t find them on a website then request it from the brand. If they’re not willing to provide them, avoid like the plague!

The recommendation on the bottle states you should take 2-4 drops, therefore depending on the amount you choose to dose with, this bottle should last approximately 1 month. As always, make sure to take the CBD oil sublingually, holding it under your tongue for 2 minutes.

It should be highlighted that while I prefer to take drops under the tongue, you can actually use the liquid to top up your vape cartridge for a quicker result. This is based on personal preference, but I always prefer taking under the tongue.

The product is made in the USA, therefore you can be assured of certain quality standards that you would expect. It has also passed validity to be sold in the UK and throughout Europe.

Why Is The American Indican Blueberry OG Broad Spectrum?

You’ve undoubtedly heard of full spectrum and isolate, however less people are aware of broad spectrum. In fact, if you haven’t heard of these, it’s worth reading my guide on full spectrum CBD vs isolate CBD.

While isolate has its values and benefits, full spectrum is great because it means you can benefit from the entourage effect, meaning the different cannabinoids and terpenes work together in unison to offer a greater benefit. Well broad spectrum is just like full, but without any THC. This can be critical if you’re drug tested at work, as you don’t want it to show up and to get in trouble. This is the case for a lot of people who take it for chronic pain, such as firefighters, who cannot afford to fail a drug test.

Which Carrier Oil Do They Use?

I’m very happy to say they use MCT oil, which is highlighted as my number one form of carrier oil for CBD. This is due to its ability to help increase the bioavailability of the CBD once it reaches your stomach, preventing it from all being wasted.

If you suffer from diabetes type 1, such as my girlfriend, then MCT isn’t such a good option, so you might want to go for a olive oil based alternative.

What Does It Taste Like?

Without meaning to sound obvious, it tastes like blueberries (who would have guessed)! The taste is quite sweet, which may suit people who are not fond of the taste of unflavoured CBD oil, a common complaint I receive regarding certain products. I’ve no doubt we will continue to see an increase in interesting flavours over the next few years, just like what we’ve seen with vaping.

Where Can I Purchase The American Indican Blueberry OG From?

These bottles are available from multiple CBD stores across the world, however you might want to check their retailer finder. If you’re based in the UK then you should opt for the UK version of the website.

Being based in Brighton, I have directly witnessed the CBD industry grow and prosper, albeit witnessing the difficulties around legislation and the lack of transparency. I therefore decided to become a neutral viewpoint offering genuine reviews, advice and guidance.
