hempamed cbdnext

You’d think by now I would have tried every form of CBD supplement in existence; however, this is actually the first CBD pastille I’ve ever tried, which is especially interesting, considering the other ingredients included. Hempamed is a German based CBD brand which was launched in 2017, with a range of different products, from CBD oils to softgel capsules.

The lozenge is orange flavoured, albeit it’s a soft subtle taste, not too powerful or overwhelming. They utilise natural flavours to provide the orange taste, while the pastilles also contain zero sugar, a nice bonus as I’m supposedly on a diet (and failing).

How Much CBD Do You Get?

Each pastille provides you with 5mg of CBD, while there are 30 pastilles in a pack. If you wanted to stick to one pastille per day, this would mean you get a month’s worth, with precise dosages.

Remember, while it can be tempting to bite straight in and chewing like it’s a sweet, you have to remind yourself that CBD requires sublingual consumption, therefore you should keep it under your tongue for 1-2 minutes before biting into it and swallowing.

This product is a CBD isolate, with the certificate of analysis showing this to be the only cannabinoid present, which can be found on the product page.

Whereas I normally have CBD before going to bed, in order to help me sleep, during the testing period I switched it up with this product, as I normally have fruit for breakfast and I figured the copious amount of Vitamin C and B6 meant this would work with my breakfast and I switched it up to a complex carb and fat source to accompany the pastille (avocado on toast).

How Much Vitamin C Do You Get?

Each pastille contains 80mg of Vitamin C. According to Mayo Clinic, you need between 65mg-90mg per day, while the NHS states you need 40mg per day, so a single pastille will have you covered. This is also why you shouldn’t take more than one pastille.

Vitamin C is a crucial antioxidant that helps your body to fight off free radicals, as well as damage from pollutants.

How Much Vitamin B6 Do You Get?

A single pastille contains 1.4mg of Vitamin B6. According to the NHS, a male needs 1.4mg per day, while a female needs 1.2mg per day. The National Institute of Health also highlights that the amount you need will depend on your age, with it increasing from 51 upwards.

Your body cannot produce Vitamin B6, therefore getting this from your diet or from supplementation is required, but you should always try to make sure you have a healthy diet which involves plenty of vitamins and minerals.

Most lists highlight pork as a good source of Vitamin B6, but I wouldn’t necessarily call this a health ingredient, therefore I’d prefer to highlight bananas, oats or peanuts as some greater alternative sources of Vitamin B6.

Where Can I Buy This From?

You can order yourself some of the Hempamed CBDnext Balance pastilles from their website for €24.95. The products are made in Germany and can be shipped via DHL within 1-3 days from ordering, while if you order before 11am then they will be shipped the same day.

Being based in Brighton, I have directly witnessed the CBD industry grow and prosper, albeit witnessing the difficulties around legislation and the lack of transparency. I therefore decided to become a neutral viewpoint offering genuine reviews, advice and guidance.
