cbd lip balm

The Truverra range has been incredibly interesting and unique to explore, but this is certainly the first CBD lip balm I’ve ever used. If you haven’t had a chance, you might want to have a read of my review recently about the Truverra cherry CBD e-liquid. The product arrived in good time, considering how bitterly cold it is outside, I was very appreciative to receive some lip balm. Oh, in case you need to know, it’s vegan friendly and 100% natural (non-GMO).

What Was Your First Impression?

The taste was subtle, however my lips very quickly felt more moisturised and softer. I did wonder what it would taste like, as CBD doesn’t taste great, unless it is flavoured, however you couldn’t taste the CBD at all, they had masked it well. When applying, it didn’t leave them greasy like some do, while my lips weren’t shiny, which can be awkward as a guy.

How Much CBD Is Included In This Lip Balm?

A single 4.5g tube contains 135mg of CBD, or 3%. The hemp is grown in Slovenia and therefore has to abide by EU regulations, meaning you are assured of a certain quality and there is absolutely no herbicides or pesticides used.

The CBD is full spectrum, meaning you can also expect the other cannabinoids and terpenes to be present in this product, with various other benefits. You can also find their 3rd party lab test results online, which is always worth checking before making a purchase of any product containing CBD.

Why Should I Have CBD In My Lip Balm?

While CBD is largely being consumed in the form of oil, vaping or in edibles, the CBD topical market is expanding rapidly with some incredible new products showing impeccable results for multiple issues. A large reason for this is thanks to CBD’s anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

If you have chapped lips, then you might find the cuts healing faster and your lips returning to normal thanks to the properties highlighted above, while my lips were noticeable better after just a few days. This highlights it as a premium product, as you wouldn’t expect such speedy results from a product without CBD in. On top of that, hemp oil contains Vitamin A, C and E, which have known benefits to the skin.

Why Is Shea Butter Included?

The shea butter is the subtle taste you can get when you apply it to your lips. At first I wasn’t sure what the soft flavour was, but after a couple of seconds you taste it and there is no denying it’s the shea butter. Shea butter is a popular option for high quality lip balms as it will help to increase skin cell growth. On top of this, it is known to help ease inflamed skin and dry cracked lips, exactly what you’re hoping for!

Why Is Coconut Oil Included?

You’ve probably noticed that your lips get dryer quicker than any other part of your face, this isn’t a coincidence. They’re highly susceptible to moisture loss, which is why lip balm is so often required. Well coconut oil is great at moisturising the lips, meaning it returns the moisture to where it belongs. It can also help to protect against infections, which can occur if there are open cuts on your lips.

Why Is Echinacea Purpurea Root Extract Included?

You’ve probably heard echinacea branded about for various purposes, such as fighting off a cold or simply helping to boost the immune system, but it is less often talked about from a topical perspective. However it actually works like a disinfectant on the skin and lips, meaning it has similar benefits to a number of the ingredients previously highlighted.

Where Can I Purchase It From?

The Truverra CBD Lip Balm can be purchased from their website for £7.99, however you can also use the discount code ‘cbdsloth’ to get 10% off!
