crema hidratnte

This is the final product in the Beemine Lab range I’m reviewing, following on from the CBD oil forte, Beemine Recovery Balm and the absolutely gorgeous CBD honey. I like balms, but I love creams, as I already apply a moisturiser each day after showering, so I’m always delighted to try a CBD facial cream.

Why Do I Need This?

The cream has been formulated to contain ingredients that can help regulate sebum production and skin cell repair.

Sebum is the excess oil you get on your skin, which is one of the main causes for clogged pores as the sebum often combines with dead skin cells and blocks the pores, creating a spot. I should highlight, sebum isn’t a bad thing, it is incredibly important in protecting your skin against bacteria and fungal infections. The issue is purely on too much being produced on your face.

Your skin cells naturally regenerate every 27 days, however if you can help to stimulate skin cell growth then you can help it to repair any damage that has occurred and to have healthy skin.

Why Is Honey Included?

Apart from the fact this company loves honey, there is actually a fair portion of science behind why honey is included in the Crema Hidratante. It’s antibacterial and antiseptic, which means it will remove bacteria from the skin. This is especially important if you suffer from acne.

Another benefit of using honey on your skin is the high levels of antioxidants, which help to fight off free radicals. Honey supposedly can help boost collagen production, but I have some doubts about those theories. What I do know is that honey is one of the main reasons why this product is promoted as helping to speed up the skin cell healing process.

How Was It?

I applied some after my shower each day. I was relieved to find it didn’t have a strong scent, as CBD products can often have quite a pungent scent to them, but this smelt mainly of shea butter, which has a great (yet subtle) scent.

Butyrospermum parkii (or shea butter for the rest of us) is known to be stocked full of vitamins and fatty acids, hence why it is so commonly present in moisturisers and face creams. As with the other ingredients present, shea butter is also anti-inflammatory, while it doesn’t contain anything that will dry out skin, such as chemical irritants.

The CBD cream sinks into the skin after not too long, while you should rub it in circular motions until it is absorbed. It doesn’t leave any greasy residue and it doesn’t leave your skin looking shiny (a pet peeve from some others I’ve tried).

The formula has been created for application to your face and neck, but you can apply it to other areas of the skin, such as your hands, knees or elbows.

Where Can I Buy This From?

The Beemine Lab Crema Hidratante can be purchased from their website for €24.90 (that’s around £22.41). If you’re going to give this a try, definitely check out the honey before ordering as I loved it!
